Lifestyle and Health

We are not doing very well as a society in terms of our health. We as Americans tend to make poor food and nutrition choices, we drink too much, we exercise too little, and we work longer hours in higher stress environments than most developed countries throughout the world. Unfortunately, these poor lifestyle choices are catching up with us.

Recent research has demonstrated earlier and earlier rates of diabetes developing; sometimes with early signs of preventable type 2 non-insulin dependent diabetes showing up in the teen years. We are seeing plaque in the arteries of younger and younger people, 60% of Americans are suffering from neck pain and headaches and nearly 80% of people will experience low back pain in their lifetimes. ANd although we are spending billions, heart disease is still the number one killer of Americans.  And these diseases are all preventable!

We are more and more frequently turning to drugs as a way to alleviate the symptoms associated with these poor lifestyle choices and unfortunately our population is being drugged at younger and younger ages. This change in our society is straining our financial resources and many people are dying prematurely as a result of the choices they make concerning their health.

Although aging is inevitable, disease, disability, and pain are not a normal consequence of the aging process.  Taking the proper steps today can help alleviate many of the symptoms associated with these lifestyle related diseases and taking steps toward better health can improve so many aspects of the quality of a person’s life.

Most people who do not have someone there to help them make the right choices will often have a less-than-optimal outcome.  Having a team of people to help can make the lifestyle changes less dramatic and the support structure can assist in ensuring that the choices made are the right ones.  You do not have to go at this alone!

Fortunately, there is an alternative to aging poorly, suffering from pain and developing debilitating diseases.  This alternative can provide options that you may not have been given by other providers and the partnership that is developed between you and your coach (s) can make the journey toward optimal health and healing a very real possibility.

If you or someone you know are suffering with poor health, and if you wish to avoid the debilitating effects of poor posture and poor lifestyle choices, we may be able to help you!  Call us today to see if the services we provide are right for you!
